Game Day food is my excuse to enjoy NFL sunday. Don't get me wrong, I support my husband and his love for his favorite NFL team (49ers!!) But, catch me in the kitchen eating or cooking up a storm of game day food. We enjoy having people over and providing yummy food dishes to enjoy. This recipe is easy, delicious and it will leave you wanting more. Cheese, BBQ and chicken, you can't go wrong with these 3 ingredients. I guarantee your family and friends will love these.
Cheesy BBQ Chicken Sliders
Ingredients
3 cups shredded chicken (I boiled 2 large chicken breasts and shredded)
1 cup BBQ sauce of your choice, plus more to drizzle
2-3 tbsp chipotles in adobo
1 cup pepperjack cheese, grated
1 cup medium cheddar cheese, grated
¼ tsp cayenne
1 tsp garlic seasoning salt
1 package 12 slider buns
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp butter
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with avocado oil spray or butter.
In a medium size mixing bowl, combine the chicken, BBQ sauce, chipotles, cayenne and garlic seasoning salt.
In a small sauce pot, melt the butter with garlic for a couple minutes until the garlic softens. Set aside.
Slice the rolls horizontally and place the bottom buns on the casserole dish and top with BBQ chicken. Drizzle more BBQ sauce on top. Next, sprinkle over the cheese and place the top buns over the chicken and cheese.
Brush the garlic butter over the tops. Cover with foil and bake for about 30-35 minutes. Remove the foil in the last 10 minutes of cooking time. Enjoy!
